DO YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER?

North Carolina Wildlife Rescue
& Education Network

Central Carolina Wildlife Rescue Clinic

Mebane, North Carolina   (336) 567-0121

We need volunteers  year-round, at our Wildlife Clinic in Mebane.
During the slower season (November-February) the clinic only needs
volunteers during the day: 8 AM to 6 PM;

While we are open to accept animals at any time of day or night, 7
days a week 365 days a year, during baby season (March through
October),  we add evening volunteer shifts to handle the needs of
wildlife orphans.

We are in need of people to help transport animals and supplies.
Give us a call if you are interested in helping out.  336-567-0121

~*CCWR is not a petting zoo. CCWR patients are wild animals who are not
only in a critical state of health, but also see people as large predators and
become stressed when handled. Contact with patients is kept to a minimum
and is mostly done by trained, licensed staff. Once a volunteer has gained
enough experience to advance to direct animal care, extensive training and
close supervision is constantly provided by the CCWR staff. Even then, the
animal contact is minimal because the intent is to return all wildlife to the wild.

We understand that some people want a "hands-on" experience with
animals. For those people, we recommend you try to volunteer at  your local
animal shelter.

Requirements:

Volunteers working at CCWR must be at least 18 years old.
.   No prior wildlife experience is required.  We will gladly train you.

**CCWR reserves the right at anytime to dismiss a volunteer if they prove to
be a danger to the animals, themselves or other people.**

Wildlife Classes

CCWR is happy to train individuals to become home wildlife rehabbers. We
will train you, and give you the experience needed to obtain your license.

If interested in being a part of the next training class, please contact
Rob Vivian (336) 567-0121 or (336) 266-1862.
